Nephron Pharmaceuticals Corporation is a privately owned global leader in the manufacturing of generic drug products, over-the-counter (OTC) drug products and medical devices. Nephron’s products are sterile, preservative and additive free and proudly made in the USA! We are headquartered in West Columbia, South Carolina. Our location provides the ability to develop new devices and medications including respiratory therapies, ophthalmic, and injectables, for in-house or contract manufacturing opportunities. The facility utilizes completely automated manufacturing, packaging, and distribution systems, in addition to high volume and redundant utility systems, to ensure production system availability. Nephron specializes in Blow-Fill-Seal (BFS) manufacturing, a niche technology that allows a vial of medication to be formed, filled and sealed in a continuous process, in a sterile, enclosed environment and without human intervention.
As an industry leader in product safety and quality, Nephron produces a variety of inhalation solutions, and has distributed over 1 billion doses of respiratory medication per year since 2009. Nephron is currently working on research and development projects that include over 50 new products. The company’s longstanding relationships with major drug wholesalers allow us to distribute our products to retail pharmacies, mail order pharmacies, hospitals, home care companies, and long term care facilities. Nephron has a sales force that covers all fifty states and Puerto Rico, with additional sales channels throughout South America, the Middle East, and Europe. Position Summary
Primary Accountabilities:
NOTE: The primary accountabilities below are intended to describe the general content of and / or requirements of this position and are not intended to be an exhaustive statement of duties. Employee may perform all or most of the primary accountabilities listed below.
· Coordinate with Utilities Personal Manager for necessary maintenance/ daily actions.
· Ensure all parts required for maintenances are ordered in a timely manner.
· Proactively identify improvements to utilities and its associated procedures.
· Support outside maintenance contractors performing contracted utilities work at Nephron facility, and ensure the company complies with procedures and work requirements.
· Provide recommendations to management to resolve maintenance issues and operation improvement.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
· High school graduate or equivalent required.
· 10 years of maintenance experience working with industrial production and/or support equipment such as electromechanical drive trains, compressed air, hydraulics, vacuum systems, water cooling chillers, high pressure steam boilers, HVAC systems, and Water for Injection (WFI) process water systems is required.
· Demonstrated experience effectively managing hourly employees is required. Includes objective setting, providing daily direction and feedback as appropriate in addition to managing employee performance, morale, training/certification, and OSHA regulatory compliance (lockout/tagout, personal protective equipment, ladder safety, electrical safety, machine shop/tool safety, and powered vehicle safety).
· Proactive and self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to schedule, manage, and complete multiple work assignments and projects concurrently with minimal supervision.
· Demonstrated proficiency reading/interpreting mechanical drawings is preferred.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting and handle multiple projects.
· Aseptic Manufacturing experience preferred.
· Knowledge of cGMP plant operations and Utility is required
· Computer experience (Microsoft Word, Excel, Paylocity, Power Point)
· Clear written and oral communication skills
· The ability to effectively manage one self, demonstrates integrity, be productive under pressure, and achieve development goals.
· The ability to create new products and processes that add value to the Business, by generating new ideas and applying creative and analytical approaches.

· Position requires bending (overhead to floor), climbing (floor to platform), lifting (up to 70lbs), reaching (overhead to floor), vision (20/20), standing (60%), and walking (40%).
· Incumbents required to wear safety glasses, personal protective equipment, and other non-specified protective equipment as necessary.
